We offer a variety of engaging programs designed specifically for young learners, focusing on play-based activities, hands-on learning, and social development.
Our regular playgroups provide a fun and informal setting for young children to interact, play, and develop social skills. We often incorporate themed activities, stories, songs, and outdoor play.
Frequency: Every Monday and Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
Location: We rotate locations between members' homes in the Outer Richmond. A schedule is emailed out weekly.
Age Range: Preschool (ages 3-5)
We organize hands-on learning activities that cover a range of topics, including early literacy, math concepts, science exploration, and creative arts. These activities are designed to be interactive and engaging, fostering curiosity and a love of learning.
Examples of Activities:
Sensory bins with rice, beans, and scoops for exploring textures and quantities
Nature walks in Golden Gate Park to collect leaves and learn about trees
Storytelling through puppets with handmade puppets
Building with blocks and other manipulatives to develop spatial reasoning
Frequency: Two afternoons a month
